The Caribbean American Poetry Association (CAPA) and the South Huntington Public Library (SHPL) invite you to celebrate National Caribbean American Heritage Month on Sunday, June 7, 2026, beginning at 2:00 p.m. at the South Huntington Public Library, 145 Pidgeon Hill Road, Huntington Station, NY 11746. The celebration will include performances by award-winning poets: Abraham “Honest A.b.e” Benjamin, Burnett Coburn, Empress Poetry, and Berkley Wendell Semple. An open mic will follow the performances by the feature poets. The authors’ table will feature books from our guest poets. Live entertainment will be provided by Praises in Steel, a steelpan ensemble, showcasing the vibrant calypso and reggae styles of Trinidad and Tobago. This event is and open to the public.
